Exciting New Tamil Film ‘Once More’ to Introduce Fresh Talent to the Industry

The Tamil film industry is buzzing with anticipation as actors Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar gear up for a cinematic venture that’s set to capture the audience’s imagination. In a collaboration helmed by debutant director Vignesh Srikanth, the project has now been officially titled ‘Once More.’ This production, backed by Yuvaraj Ganesan of Million Dollar Studios and VR Vamsi of FYNTEMAX, promises to be a captivating addition to Tamil cinema.

This title, ‘Once More,’ resonates deeply with Tamil film aficionados, as it shares its name with the memorable 1997 film by S. A. Chandrasekhar, which featured legends like Sivaji Ganesan and Vijay, along with Simran, who made her Tamil cinema debut with the project—a move that launched her into stardom. Interestingly, ‘Once More’ and another of Simran’s Tamil films, V.I.P., hit the theaters on the very same day, marking an unforgettable moment in cinematic history.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, a narrative unfolds: “My grandmother, aunt, sisters, and relatives, along with an elderly woman I met at the theater during Rasavathi, all expressed a desire for a feel-good romantic film. They offered their blessings and urged me against high-octane action. For all of you, particularly the paati who blessed me, this one is crafted with love. I hope it resonates well with each of you.”

Notably, this film will also serve as the Tamil debut for music director Hesham Abdul Wahab, who is no stranger to applause in the wider Indian cinematic music landscape. Known for his work in Malayalam films such as ‘Hridayam’ and ‘Sesham Mike-il Fathima’ as well as Telugu films like ‘Kushi’ and ‘Hi Nanna,’ Wahab is set to bring his melodic and soulful music to Tamil audiences, adding a new layer of allure to this ambitious project.

The project’s creators took to social media in a jubilant announcement, stating, “Welcoming the melodic & soulful music composer #HeshamAbdulWahab to Tamil cinema with #MillionDollarProdNo4. Together, we’re creating something more special this time.” This announcement was accompanied by a teaser featuring exhilarating clips from the film, setting the mood for its much-anticipated release.

As for the talented crew supporting ‘Once More,’ the film is a showcase of artistic expertise. Cinematography is managed by Aravind Viswanathan, with Nash overseeing the intricate task of editing. Costume designs are the craft of Navadevi Rajkumar, while art direction is under the keen eye of Raj Kamal. All these elements are woven together to create a visually compelling cinematic experience.

Beyond ‘Once More,’ Aditi Shankar is slated to appear in ‘Nesippaya,’ alongside Akash Murali, the progeny of late veteran actor Murali. This film, led by director Vishnu Varadhan, boasts an impressive ensemble cast including stars like Sarath Kumar, Prabhu Ganesan, Khushbu Sundar, Kalki Koechlin, Shiv Panditt, and George Kora, positioning it as another eagerly awaited release.

Arjun Das, meanwhile, continues his upward trajectory in the film industry following his recent appearance in ‘Rasavathi.’ He is venturing into the Malayalam film space with an upcoming project directed by Madhuram’s Ahammed Khabeer, which again will feature music by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Additionally, Arjun’s filmography is expanding with ‘Bomb’ directed by Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal director Vishal Venkat and starring alongside Shivathmika Rajashekar. His presence will also grace the Telugu film ‘OG,’ directed by Sujeeth and starring Pawan Kalyan, where he is joined by Emraan Hashmi and Priyanka Mohan.

‘Once More’ stands as a promising fusion of seasoned performances and fresh talent, with Hesham Abdul Wahab’s musical expertise adding a distinctive note to Tamil cinema’s symphony. As audiences await its release, the blend of nostalgia, fresh storytelling, and artistic vision promises a film that is both reminiscent of classics and yet distinctly modern—a testament to the enduring vibrancy of Indian cinema.
