The governing body elaborated that Pant’s third transgression led to a fine of INR 30 Lac and the suspension that put his leadership role on hold temporarily. Moreover, the incident drew fines for the rest of the playing squad, including the Impact Player, who have each been fined INR 12 Lac or 50 percent of their match fee, whichever is lower.
Currently, the Delhi Capitals hold a precarious spot in the race to the playoffs, occupying the fifth position on the points table. Their tally stands at 12 points after 12 matches, courtesy of six victories.
