‘Madharasi’: Sivakarthikeyan-AR Murugadoss film gets a title; first glimpse out


The makers of Sivakarthikeyan and A R Murugadoss’ much-awaited film have announced the title today, on the Tamil star’s 39th birthday, with a glimpse video. The Tamil movie, which was earlier tentatively titled SK23, is called Madharasi.
The first glimpse hints at a high-octane action drama. Though details of the plot aren’t revealed yet, the film appears to be a spy thriller, going by the visuals in the first glimpse.
Sivakarthikeyan, sporting a rugged look, seems to be playing a character with brute force in the movie. The glimpse is filled with scenes of bomb blasts, gun fires and cars flipping.

Madharasi also stars Biju Menon, Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer Kallarakkal and Vikranth.
Written by Murugadoss, the filmis produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies. Anirudh, who had worked with Sivakarthikeyan in films like Ethir Neechal, Maan Karate and Doctor, and had previously collaborated with Murugadoss for Kaththi and Darbar, is handling the music for this film.
Sreekar Prasad is the editor. Kevin Kumar is the action choreographer and Sudeep Elamon has handled the cinematography.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan, who delivered a mammoth hit with Amaran, is set to star as the lead in Sudha Kongara’s Parasakthi. Also starring Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa and Sreeleela, the film is touted to be on students politics.
