Mumbai: With the eagerly anticipated Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 set to begin streaming on JioCinema from June 21, fans were recently treated to the first look of this season’s house. Designed by the creative duo Omung Kumar and Vanita Garud, the theme for the house this season is rooted in fantasy and adorned with unique elements that promise to captivate both the contestants and the audience.
Upon entering the house, guests are greeted by two imposing statues that stand like sentinels. Adding to the grandeur are majestic dragons, which infuse the space with a sense of mystical wonder. The walls of the house are an illusionary masterpiece, featuring different faces on each side that add to the overall enchanting atmosphere. The recurring motif of locks and keys can be seen throughout the decor, symbolizing the multitude of challenges contestants will face inside the house.
A highlight of this year’s design is the bedroom, which is styled as a theatre straight out of a fantasy world. This design choice aims to promote interaction and camaraderie among the housemates, turning it into a stage where daily dramas naturally unfold. The illusion continues in the kitchen, which looks like a quaint vineyard replete with stone walls and wine barrels. Here, contestants will feel like they’ve stepped into a rustic European countryside, a perfect blend of tranquility and elegance.
One of the most fascinating architectural elements is a large bridge that connects the living room to the storeroom. Suspended over a carpet with a water-printed design, this bridge adds a serene and almost surreal vibe to the entire living area.
Speaking about the creativity and thought process behind this season’s design, Omung Kumar shared, “We wanted the Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 house to be incredibly unique and vibrant. As a designer, I believe in the magic of transformation. Following the success of last year’s sustainability theme, this season posed a fresh challenge to create something equally captivating.”
Kumar further elaborated on the imaginative elements incorporated into the house, saying, “In alignment with our theme, we aimed to deliver an experience unlike any other seen before. Our design choices, from incorporating keys and locks to featuring grand dragons and two-sided walls with different faces, all contribute to the magical ambience. The keys and locks are a personal favorite – they represent how contestants are locked in and have to unlock new aspects of themselves. Each element was carefully chosen to evoke intrigue and surprise. I’m thrilled to see how contestants will interact with and be inspired by this imaginative space.”
Bigg Boss OTT, a spin-off from the immensely popular Bigg Boss franchise, made its debut on Voot, with the charismatic filmmaker Karan Johar as the host. However, the reins were later passed to Bollywood megastar Salman Khan for the second season.

In a recent press conference, Anil Kapoor spoke about his new role as the host of Bigg Boss OTT 3. Kapoor expressed his excitement and the unique synergy he shares with the show. “Bigg Boss OTT and I are a dream team! We’re both young at heart; people often say – jokingly – that I’m reverse ageing, but Bigg Boss is – seriously – timeless,” Kapoor quipped.
Kapoor also shed light on his conversation with Salman Khan, emphasizing the mutual respect and support between the two stars. “Salman ko koi replace nahi kar sakta aur Anil Kapoor ko bhi koi replace nahi kar sakta…bhai (Salman Khan) bhaut khush hai…meri unse baat bhi hui hai …he is very excited and happy knowing that I am doing non-fiction,” Kapoor disclosed, underlining the camaraderie and mutual admiration they share.
