We had previously reported that Madhavan, who starred and helmed Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, the biopic of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, will be playing Indian inventor and engineer GD Naidu in an upcoming film. On Tuesday (February 18), the makers announced that the film’s been titled G.D.N.

Often called the Edison of India, the scientist’s biopic will be directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar. The cast of the film also features Jayaram, Priyamani and Yogi Babu among others.
The makers also announced that the Indian schedule of the film has commenced in Coimbatore, the birthplace of the scientist.
The film has Govind Vasantha composing the music. Aravind Kamalanathan is on board as both the film’s cinematographer and creative producer.
Following their National Award for Best Feature Film of 2022 for Rocketry, Varghese Moolan Pictures and Tricolour Films are reuniting again for G.D.N. Varghese Moolan and Vijay Moolan of Varghese Moolan Pictures, and R Madhavan and Sarita Madhavan of Tricolour Films are bankrolling the project.
