Janhvi Kapoor Back Home After Hospitalization: Recuperating from Food Poisoning

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for food poisoning over the weekend. Kapoor, who is known for her roles in films like “Dhadak” and “Roohi,” was admitted to a hospital in South Mumbai after her condition didn’t improve following a day of rest at home. She returned to Mumbai from Chennai last Tuesday, only to fall ill the next day.

Janhvi’s health showed no signs of improvement, prompting her admission to the hospital by Thursday. During her stay, her sister Khushi Kapoor and her beau Shikhar Pahariya were reportedly by her side, providing support through this rough patch. Despite her recovery, sources reveal that Janhvi is still recovering from physical weakness and requires ample rest.

In the meantime, the talented actress is making preparations for the high-profile release of her upcoming film, “Ulajh,” on August 2nd. Set against the backdrop of the Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Janhvi will be seen portraying Suhana Bhatia, a young diplomat in a gripping political thriller directed by Sudhanshu Saria.

Shifting gears to the digital world, Ananya Panday has garnered a new admirer on social media—Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. A video showing the duo dancing at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding festivities has become a viral sensation. In the clip, they can be seen grooving to the hit track “Aankh maarey” from the movie “Simmba” (2018) along with actor Ranveer Singh. The chemistry between Ananya and Hardik in this dance performance caught the attention of netizens, leading to speculation and excitement. Coincidentally, it was after this wedding celebration that they began following each other on Instagram, sparking further intrigue among their fans.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur have wrapped up the first phase of shooting for their inaugural collaboration tentatively titled “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.” Directed by David Dhawan, this project marks his fourth venture with his son Varun, following “Main Tera Hero” (2014), “Judwaa 2” (2017), and “Coolie No. 1” (2020). The production team recently completed several indoor sequences at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios in Bandra. During this process, Varun reportedly suffered a rib injury, the details of which remain undisclosed. Despite the setback, Varun is expected to resume filming soon for Shashank Khaitan’s “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari,” which also stars Janhvi Kapoor. Upon completion, Varun will return to his father David Dhawan’s directorial project, which will also introduce Sree Leela, marking her Bollywood debut.

In a different segment of the industry, a notable clash has reignited between actors Kangana Ranaut and Sonu Sood, years after their last collaboration in “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” (2019).

. The dispute began when Sonu shared a controversial video featuring a man making rotis using his saliva. Including a quote referencing Lord Ram’s acceptance of humble offerings, Sonu faced backlash from online users. Kangana criticized him sharply, suggesting sarcastically that Sonu might direct his interpretation of Ramayana based on his findings about God and religion. In his defense, Sonu clarified he never supported such actions and advocated for severe punishment for those involved. However, his comments about maintaining humanity didn’t resonate well with netizens, who questioned his comparisons and justifications.

On another note, actress Jasmin Bhasin experienced a painful setback due to corneal damage caused by a lens mishap. While in Delhi for a recent event, she suddenly experienced severe eye pain. An ophthalmologist diagnosed her with corneal damage. “The doctors said that I should recover in the next four to five days. But until then, I need to take good care of my eyes. It’s not easy because I can’t see properly and the pain makes it difficult even to sleep,” Jasmin shared. She remains optimistic about resuming work soon, despite the challenges she currently faces.
