Mumbai: In an exclusive insight into the upcoming Raksha Bandhan celebrations, prominent television actors Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe, Ankit Raizada, and Aditi Tripathi have shared their plans and cherished memories associated with this cherished festival. Despite their busy shooting schedules, the actors highlight how they intend to uphold the spirit of Raksha Bandhan, a festival that epitomizes the bond between brothers and sisters.
Ankit Gupta, widely known for his role as Rannvijay in the popular TV drama ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor,’ expressed his plans for Raksha Bandhan. “This year, I’ll be on set for Raksha Bandhan. However, if I manage to get a day off or finish early, I plan to celebrate the festival with my brother as I don’t have a sister. Over the years, my bond with my brother has only grown stronger and more special,” shared Ankit.
Reflecting on his childhood memories, Ankit added, “Being the youngest, I was always spoiled with love. One of my fondest memories of Raksha Bandhan is when my cousin sisters used to tie rakhis that had watches on them; I absolutely adored those.”
Rutuja Bagwe, who plays the character Vaiju in the same show, ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor,’ also opened up about her plans for the festival. She shared, “I don’t have a brother, but my sister ties a rakhi to me every year. If she gets a day off from work, she’ll come to the set, and we will celebrate there. Every year, I celebrate Raksha Bandhan with my sister and cousins. I particularly like rakhis made of chandan (sandalwood), and I always give my sister a gift of her choice.”
Speaking about the bond with her sister, Rutuja added, “The happiness on her face is something I always look forward to, and it makes me very happy. Although she is my younger sister, she displays certain elder-like traits, and I care for her as a mother would. This special bond is something we cherish and build memories around.”
Ankit Raizada, who portrays Aman Singh Rajpoot in the show ‘Advocate Anjali Awasthi,’ shared his excitement for Raksha Bandhan as well.
. He said, “This year, I will most likely be shooting for ‘Advocate Anjali Awasthi.’ But if I manage to get a day off, I’ll celebrate it with my cousin sisters since I have a real brother.”
He added, “This year’s Raksha Bandhan is going to be extra special because I will be surprising one of my cousin sisters with a jersey she has wanted for a long time. She is a football player, and I am finally gifting her the jersey. It’s the little joys like these that make life worth living and celebrating.”
Aditi Tripathi, known for her role as Deepika in the show ‘Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,’ spoke warmly about the significance of Raksha Bandhan for her. “Raksha Bandhan is particularly special for sisters as they receive not only promises of protection from their brothers but also numerous gifts. I am eagerly anticipating what my brother has got for me.”
Discussing her bond with her brother, Aditi said, “Like every year, I will be celebrating this festival with my brother. Our bond has evolved over the years; we are like Tom and Jerry. Even if we fight, we cannot stay away from each other. Each new day brings something new that we learn from one another, and I am thrilled to have a brother like him in my life. These are memories to hold on to forever.”
