Animal: Triptii Dimri shares what Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga told her before filming intimate scenes

The entertainment industry is abuzz with the latest performance from the rising Indian star, Triptii Dimri, who has been commended for her conviction in playing challenging roles, notably in the film ‘Animal’. The film, pairing her with the celebrated Ranbir Kapoor, has pushed her into the limelight, earning her the endearing title of ‘national crush’ from her fans across India.

Dimri’s approach to her craft has been marked by a series of impactful projects, with ‘Bulbul’ and ‘Qala’ paving her way to stardom. Her recent outing in ‘Animal’, however, has established her as a talent to watch out for. Her candidness and ability to tackle bold scenes have been a subject of conversation, garnering her both praise and genuine attention.

In a revealing conversation with News 18, Triptii shared insights into the environment on the set of ‘Animal’, especially during filming of the more intimate scenes. She expressed how fundamental the support of her co-stars and crew was to her performance. “It really helps when you’ve a co-actor you can count on so much. You’ve to be comfortable performing those scenes. Sandeep (Reddy Vanga) sir, Ranbir and the DOP told me, ‘Every time you’re uncomfortable, you just have to let us know and we’ll make sure that you don’t’,” she recounted, emphasizing the respectful and professional setting fostered by the team.

The actress stressed the importance of feeling respected as an individual on set, highlighting how thoughtful the director and her fellow actors were about her comfort and consent. “It’s really important that you’re in an environment where people respect you as a person, your choices and what you’re doing at that particular moment and make it only about that and not anything else,” she added.

Even as intimacy coordinators become more prevalent in the industry for scenes requiring close personal contact, Triptii felt she didn’t need one on set, attributing her comfort to the trustworthy relationships with her co-actors and the director. “As long as you’re comfortable with your co-actors and directors, it shouldn’t matter. But some people need them. It depends from person to person,” she stated.

Her portrayal of Zoya has attracted significant acclaim, with Triptii confessing how overwhelming the response has been for her: “I was very nervous on the first day. I knew the film would do well but I wasn’t expecting this kind of a response for Zoya. […] I haven’t been able to sleep,” shared the actress, who did not anticipate the magnitude of appreciation she would receive.

‘Animal’, directed by the visionary Sandeep Reddy Vanga, presents a gripping tale of a tumultuous father-son relationship, exploring themes of validation and the extent one might go to protect family. Framed within a compelling story, the film features a stellar cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor, each bringing their unique essence to the narrative.

As the conversation with Triptii Dimri revealed, on-set dynamics play a crucial role in crafting believable and honest performances. Her experience on the set of ‘Animal’ serves as an industry example, showing that with mutual respect and open communication, actors can navigate challenging scenes with confidence and support.

Her journey thus far speaks volumes about her determination and artistic prowess. As Triptii Dimri continues to win over audiences with her deft portrayals and undeniable screen presence, her career trajectory suggests that we can expect many more enthralling performances from this promising artist in the years to come.
