Major Mukund Varadarajan, the protagonist of this biopic, will be depicted in his valorous role within the Indian Army. As an officer of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company, Major Mukund bravely led his troops during several critical operations. Tragically, he was martyred in action while combating terrorists in the region of Shopian, Kashmir, in April 2014. His unparalleled bravery and leadership were honored posthumously with the Ashok Chakra, the highest peacetime gallantry award in India.
