A fusion of spiritual devotion and cultural celebration, the event was heightened by the vocal brilliance of Sonu Nigam and Shankar Mahadevan, whose performances added an ethereal layer to the already charged atmosphere.

Donned in a traditional cream-colored kurta, complete with matching pants and a draped shawl, Sonu Nigam serenaded those in attendance with the soul-stirring ‘Ram Siya Ram’ bhajan, a composition that resonates with the masses for its emotive connection to Lord Ram. His performance, which preceded the main ceremony, was captured in a snippet now going viral as it circulates social media and news platforms.

Reflecting on his participation in the function, Nigam expressed his overwhelming emotions about witnessing such an epochal event in his lifetime. In a statement brimming with heartfelt sentiment, he shared, “This is a very emotional moment. I am happy that there is joy and enthusiasm in the world wherever there is Sanatana Dharma. It feels great that we can see this, that God chose us to be born in an era when such an event is taking place. I am one of the fortunate people who have received an invitation…”

Shankar Mahadevan similarly left the audience spellbound as his voice echoed through the grounds, singing devotional songs in praise of Lord Ram. The acclaimed singer-composer was also swathed in the joy of the occasion, expressing his excitement and privilege at being a state guest at the ceremony. While speaking to a media person at the airport, Mahadevan said, “Not only the whole country but the whole world is waiting for this moment. We are so happy and excited and we feel blessed that we are state guests to be part of this. I think this is the biggest event that has happened in the history of India.”

The grandeur of the occasion was further underlined by the presence of Bollywood luminaries such as Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut, Tiger Shroff, and Asha Bhosale. These stars lent their sparkle to a ceremony that promises to be etched in the collective consciousness of the nation.
