The silver screen is set to sizzle with the much-anticipated release of “Fighter,” starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. This high-octane aerial action film has already started to soar, even before its official release, with an impressive advance booking figure of approximately ₹3 crores on its opening day.

As the audience anticipation reaches a fever pitch, reports indicate that the Siddharth Anand-directed feature has sold close to 93,735 tickets for its initial showing. Breaking down these numbers further reveals an interesting trend: 36,454 tickets were sold for the standard 2D format, while the more immersive 3D version claimed a greater share with around 50,770 tickets. Additionally, the film has enjoyed a robust response for its IMAX 3D and 4DX 3D showings, which collectively crossed the 6,000 ticket sales mark. Such statistics highlight not only the film’s mass appeal but also the audience’s interest in experiencing the movie’s thrilling visuals in the most cutting-edge formats available.

Apart from the overwhelming advance booking figures, the buzz surrounding the film escalated on January 15 with the release of its action-packed trailer. With scenes promising a wild ride through the sky, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s palpable on-screen chemistry, and riveting background scores, it was clear that “Fighter” was gearing up for a grand opening, perfectly timed with India’s celebration of its 75th Republic Day.

Delving into the content shared by Hrithik Roshan himself, the trailer showcased the gripping narrative of India’s elite Air Force unit, the ‘Air Dragons.’ The group embarks on a perilous mission to defend the country’s airspace against formidable adversarial forces. Through its portrayal of the comradeship, valor, and sacrifices made by these aerial warriors, “Fighter” is being touted as an inspirational saga that will resonate with audiences of every demographic.

The storyline’s strength is further bolstered by a star-studded ensemble cast, with Hrithik Roshan leading the squadron as Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty. Deepika Padukone joins him in the skies as Minal Rathore, affectionately called Minni. Veteran actor Anil Kapoor commands the screen as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, aka Rocky. In addition, Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover play pivotal roles, adding depth to the narrative. The music from the film has already made waves, with songs like ‘Sher Khul Gaye’ becoming an instant party hit, while ‘Ishq Jaisa Kuch’ highlights the lead actors’ sizzling chemistry. Moreover, the film’s latest track, ‘Heer Aasmani,’ has set everyone’s feet tapping to its beat.

Amidst the visible excitement, there were reports that the Central Board of Film Certification has proposed four cuts to the film, ultimately awarding “Fighter” with a U/A certificate. This certification suggests that the movie is suitable for viewing by audiences under the age of 18 when accompanied by an adult, thus ensuring that “Fighter” reaches the broadest possible audience while maintaining the integrity of its content.

With all signs pointing to a blockbuster, “Fighter” is poised to take the Indian film industry by storm. The combination of stellar advance booking figures, a promising trailer, and well-received music tracks have cemented the film’s potential to be this year’s cinematic juggernaut. As the count down to its epic launch nears completion, “Fighter” is all set to dominate box offices nationwide and etch its name in the annals of film history as one of the most exhilarating aerial action films ever produced in India.
