Salman Khan Navigates Turbulent Times Amid ‘Bigg Boss 18’ Hosting Duties

Bollywood icon Salman Khan has publicly addressed the emotional turmoil he has been enduring following the tragic murder of his close associate, Baba Siddique. Khan’s heartfelt comments were made during an episode of the popular reality TV show, “Bigg Boss 18,” where he plays the host. His remarks came after the brutal killing of Siddique, an influential Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader known for his close ties with Bollywood figures, which happened on October 12 right outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Mumbai.

Baba Siddique’s untimely demise has sent shockwaves throughout both political and entertainment spheres. According to law enforcement, his murder is suspected to be orchestrated by the infamous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, allegedly due to Siddique’s intimate association with Salman Khan. This connection has reportedly made Siddique a target, sparking widespread attention and concern in the wake of the incident.

In the aftermath of Siddique’s death, Khan found himself under a cloud of emotional distress yet was obliged to continue fulfilling his professional commitments, including hosting “Bigg Boss 18.” During the Weekend ka Vaar segment, Khan candidly confessed he contemplated skipping the show, citing the overwhelming personal challenges he is facing. “Yaar, qasam khuda ki what all I am going through in my life and I have to come and handle this (arguments between housemates)… I feel that I shouldn’t have come here today. But you have to do what you have to do,” he stated, highlighting his reluctance yet sense of duty.

A video circulating on social media reveals Khan lamenting the burden of accusations against him, acknowledging the toll it takes on his family.

. “Mere par bhi bahut saare laanchan lagaye gaye hain (I have been accused of many things). I know what my parents go through,” he expressed, illustrating the intense pressure he and his family are under, further amplified by the recent events surrounding Siddique’s death.

The timing and setting of Khan’s comments during the “Bigg Boss” episode raise questions about when exactly the episode was filmed—before or after Siddique’s assassination remains unclear. However, Khan’s connection to Siddique was palpable; he paid his respects at Siddique’s Bandra residence soon after the unfortunate event, underscoring their deep bond.

Meanwhile, Mumbai’s police force has ramped up security and investigations after receiving a significant threat aimed at Khan. The Mumbai traffic police received a chilling message demanding Rs 5 crore from the film star. This prompted the Crime Branch to launch an in-depth probe, which was confirmed by officials on Friday.

The message, delivered to the traffic police’s control room via WhatsApp, has led to the registration of a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for threat and extortion. In light of these developments, the constant threat from the Bishnoi gang looms large, with the gang having previously targeted Khan’s Bandra residence, where gunshots were fired outside the premises in April.

While Khan has abstained from publicly posting a condolence message regarding Siddique’s passing, his presence at Siddique’s home and the palpable sense of grievance during the show shed light on the gravity of his mourning. In the past, Salman Khan has been no stranger to controversies and threats, yet this recent spate of incidents marks a particularly challenging chapter for the star.

With “Bigg Boss 18” continuing to air, Khan remains a professional amidst adversity, balancing his personal grief with his on-screen responsibilities. His candid exchanges and visible emotional state have fostered an outpouring of sympathy from fans and the broader public, serving as a reminder of the human side of the larger-than-life Bollywood superstar.

As investigations proceed and the mourning period stretches on, Salman Khan’s resilience in hosting the reality show in the face of personal anguish is both poignant and noteworthy.
