In a much-anticipated return to the cricket field, India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is set to lead his team against Bangladesh on Sunday, October 6th, as part of a three-match T20I series. The series opener is not only a chance for Yadav to lead his team to victory but also presents an opportunity for him to etch his name in the record books by surpassing some of the greats in T20 cricket history.

Yadav had been sidelined due to an unfortunate injury he sustained while playing in the Buchi Babu Trophy, but he showcased resilience and determination by returning to action and participating in the Duleep Trophy. His eyes are also set on outscoring South Africa’s David Miller and England’s Eoin Morgan, needing only six and 27 runs, respectively, to exceed their career totals.

If Yadav manages to accumulate 27 runs in the upcoming match at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior, he will elevate his position to 15th on the list of highest run-scorers in T20 International cricket.
