‘28 Years Later’ trailer: Danny Boyle’s film hints at an intense drama in a horrifying post-apocalyptic world

The makers of 28 Years Later dropped the movie’s trailer. The third part of the popular franchise is written by Alex Garland and directed by Danny Boyle.
In the first part, 28 Days Later (2002), Cillian Murphy played a bicycle courier who wakes up from coma to find out the release of a highly contagious virus. The second part, 28 Weeks Later, released in 2007. The movie, directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, starred Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne and Jeremy Renner.
The third part features Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes. The trailer has teased a possible presence of Murphy in the role of a zombie, reprisal of his role from the 2002 movie. The trailer gives a glimpse of a post-apocalyptic England in ruins. The latest film will have a bunch of survivors who face relentless danger and chaos.
According to the official description of the movie, “It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway.”
