The Goat Life (Aadujeevitham in Malayalam) directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Blessy has been shortlisted among the 207 feature films eligible for Best Picture nomination at the 97th Academy Awards.
“We are excited to share that Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) has been officially selected for consideration in the Best Picture category at the 97th Academy Awards. The nominations voting period will take place from Wednesday, January 8, 2025, to Sunday, January 12, 2025,” read a communication issued on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
The Goat Life has also been nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing and Foley Artistry in the “Feature International” category at the prestigious 72nd Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards. The Golden Reel Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Los Angeles. “We are incredibly proud of the team’s accomplishments and looking foward for a best outcome,” said the release.
Renowned music composer A. R Rahman had won the Hollywood Music Media Awards 2024 in November for the background score for the movie in the Independent Film category.
