Aayush Sharma Sheds Light on the Amusing Side of Divorce Rumors with Arpita Khan

In the glitzy corridors of Bollywood, where personal lives often get caught in the spotlight, actor Aayush Sharma recently shared a rather comical encounter with the media that involved baseless divorce rumors with his wife, Arpita Khan Sharma.

Aayush Sharma, who graced the silver screen with his performance in ‘Ruslaan,’ is not just known for his artistic endeavors but also as the brother-in-law of the prominent Salman Khan. Married for nearly a decade to Salman’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma, Aayush has navigated the highs and lows that come with being a part of such a well-known family. Strikingly, the couple has periodically found themselves in the uncomfortable position of having to counter unfounded rumors about their marriage.

One such instance occurred in 2019 when Aayush Sharma became the unintended focal point of divorce speculation. During an interview with News18 Showsha, he recounted the surprising moment, “Nobody has been that interested in my life to float rumors about me around. But I remember a very small incident. I took my son out for dosa and when we were coming out, the paparazzi caught me and asked me if Arpita and I were filing for divorce.”

Flabbergasted by the assumption, Aayush reflected, “I was just so surprised! I took my son out for a snack and ended up facing questions about our divorce. When I came back home, I asked Arpita if she was going to divorce me. And we had a good laugh over it.”

The couple’s journey began with their marriage in 2014, and since then, they have welcomed two children into their lives. Their son, Ahil, arrived first, followed by their daughter, Ayat, who was born on December 27, 2021. In a lovely coincidence, Ayat and her superstar uncle Salman Khan share the same birthday.

Aside from defending his personal life, Aayush Sharma is no stranger to addressing and dismissing the insensitive comments aimed at his wife, particularly regarding her complexion. During a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, Aayush addressed the critical comments Arpita receives about her skin color. He stated in Hindi, which translates to, “Many people have an opinion about her skin colour, which makes me laugh. What is the skin color of the majority of Indians? Is everyone fair-skinned? I am from Himachal which is why I am fair. And if you are dark or have a dusky skin tone, what is wrong with that?”

Continuing his thoughtful response, Aayush questioned the societal double standard. “Why are people constantly running behind a skin color? We discuss ‘Black Lives Matter’ in the United States, yet here we mock the skin color of our people.”

Despite the unwarranted scrutiny, Aayush and Arpita Sharma have maintained a united front. Whether it’s laughing off bizarre rumors or addressing deeper societal issues with grace and humor, the duo has shown that their bond is fortified not just by love, but by mutual respect and understanding.

This peek behind the curtains of a celebrity marriage reminds the public of the unglamorous side of fame. It’s a testament to Aayush and Arpita’s strength as a couple and highlights the need for a more respectful discourse surrounding celebrities’ personal lives. While the public’s fascination with their favorite stars’ lives might never wane, stories like these implore fans and media alike to approach such matters with both empathy and discretion.
