Adah Sharma Clarifies Rumors About Acquiring Sushant Singh Rajput’s Residence

The film industry and its avid followers often find themselves amidst a whirlwind of rumors and speculations that swirl around the lives of celebrities. In a recent development that caught the attention of both media and fans alike, actress Adah Sharma was at the forefront of reports claiming she had purchased the late Sushant Singh Rajput’s house. Adah Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput, both celebrated talents with their own unique legacies, have been the subject of much focus, particularly after the tragic passing of Rajput in June 2020. His death was not only a loss to the film fraternity but also left his fans in a profound state of mourning.

It was a shock to the industry when the beloved actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found deceased in his residence. His passing on June 14, 2020, has since been shrouded in mystery, with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) taking charge of the case. Fast forward to 2021, and Sushant’s sea-facing apartment in Mumbai was reportedly put up for rent at a monthly fee of ₹4.5 lakh. This property has now become a place of significant interest, with reports recently surfacing in 2023 about Adah Sharma’s supposed acquisition of the home, perpetuated by outlets such as Telly Chakkar.

However, in a candid conversation with interviewer Siddharth Kannan, Adah Sharma took a moment to lay the rumors to rest. With poise and dignity, Adah stated that, for the time being, her only residence is in the hearts of her admirers. “For now, I would just like to say that I live in everyone’s hearts. There is a right time to speak. When I went to see the place, I got a little overwhelmed with the media attention. I am a private person. I love being in the public eye for my movies, but I have always been private. I guard my privacy,” remarked Adah, hinting at the current speculation’s inaccuracy without revealing too much about her actual plans.

Adah expressed her discomfort with speaking about someone who is no longer present, out of respect for their memory and contributions to cinema. “It’s wrong to talk about someone who is not in this world, who has done such beautiful films. I don’t stand for that. He is an actor who I have great respect for, so I would like to put everything where he has his respect… I don’t like people loosely commenting… I didn’t like it. I read some comments about him. I mean, you can troll me but don’t troll someone who is not there or doesn’t have someone to speak about them. I will speak about where I live materialistically soon, but right now I am living in the hearts of millions of people, rent-free.”

The conversation around the privacy and respect of those no longer with us continues to be a sensitive topic within the media, and Adah’s stance serves as a reminder of the careful consideration we must employ when discussing the departed, especially those who have touched the lives of many like Sushant Singh Rajput.

Regarding the investigation into Sushant’s untimely demise, despite the elapsed three years and the involvement of the CBI, a conclusive report on the circumstances leading to his death remains pending. This has left a palpable void among his fans who radiate unwavering loyalty, often bringing Sushant into the limelight posthumously through social media and other platforms.

While the discourse on the late actor’s legacy continues, Adah Sharma’s career moves forward. She was recently seen in the film ‘Bastar: The Naxal story,’ directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, which released to audiences on March 15.

As for the residence in question, the future still seems uncertain. But for now, Adah Sharma has made clear that her primary residence is amongst the love and affection of her fan base—a place no rumor can affect.
