Actor Aadhi Pinisetty has joined the cast of Akhanda 2: Thandavam, Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film with Boyapati Sreenu. The film, marking the fourth reunion between Balakrishna and Sreenu, is a sequel to their 2021 film Akhanda.
The makers are yet to share Aadhi’s first-look poster from the film. Notably, this is his second collaboration with director Boyapati Sreenu, after Sarrainodu.
Boyapati has designed Aadhi’s character in a first-of-its-kind way with incredible ferocity, ensuring it stands out as one of the most impactful roles of his career. Aadhi sports a new look for the movie. Fans can look forward to an epic face-off between Aadhi Pinisetty and Balakrishna, which promises to be a thrilling spectacle filled with intense action and gripping moments,” reads a press release from the makers.
The note added that Aadhi and Balakrishna are currently shooting an action sequence at Annapurna 7 Acres. Notably, Akhanda featured Balakrishna in dual roles, as a demi-God with superhuman powers, and as a good samaritan who vows to eradicate factionalism. The film, though opening to mixed reviews, turned out to be successful at the box office.
Also starring Samyuktha in a pivotal role, Akhanda 2’s technical team includes music composer S Thaman, cinematographer C Ramprasad, editor Tammiraju, and art director AS Prakash.
Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the prestigious 14 Reels Plus Banner, the film is presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri. Akhanda 2 is slated to release in theatres for Dussehra next year, on September 25, 2025.
