Since its inception in 2000, Amitabh Bachchan has been the stalwart host of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, except for its third season in 2006, which saw Shah Rukh Khan stepping in. The show has not only become a beloved staple in Indian households but also a career-defining platform for many participants.

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan remains immensely busy. His latest film, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, directed by Nag Ashwin, received rave reviews from both fans and critics alike. The futuristic, post-apocalyptic film is inspired by Hindu scriptures and is set in the year 2898 AD. Featuring an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Disha Patani, the film has wowed audiences with its grandeur and narrative. Notably, actors Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, and Mrunal Thakur made special cameo appearances.

Since its release in June, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has garnered significant appreciation from across the globe. Industry insiders have been praising the film’s performances, visual effects, and compelling storyline, heralding it as a major success.

In addition to his on-screen endeavors, Amitabh is currently filming ‘Vettaiyan’ alongside the legendary Rajinikanth. This project has generated considerable buzz owing to the collaboration of these two titans of Indian cinema.

Moreover, Bachchan is also attached to ‘Fakt Purusho Maate’, a sequel to the critically acclaimed ‘Fakt Mahilao Maate’. In this film, Big B will be portraying the role of God, a character reminiscent of his previous portrayal in ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ (2008). ‘Fakt Purusho Maate’ explores themes of generational divides and the clash between tradition and modernity with a humorous twist. The film is produced by Pandit and Vaishal Shah, with writing and direction by Jay Bodas and Parth Trivedi. It stars Yash Soni, Mitra Gadhvi, Esha Kansara, and Darshan Jariwala and is set for a theatrical release on August 15.

As Amitabh Bachchan continues to juggle multiple ventures, his return to ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ season 16 exemplifies his enduring appeal and tireless commitment to entertainment. The show is expected to bring back familiar thrills and excitement to audiences nationwide, serving as a testament to Bachchan’s unparalleled charisma and the show’s timeless format.
