Atlee’s Film Plans: From Allu Arjun to Salman Khan

News is that Atlee has decided to change lanes after his plans to work with Allu Arjun for his forthcoming project didn’t come to fruition. The grapevine is buzzing with speculations that the renowned filmmaker has now set his sights on Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan, bringing the same subject to the table. Currently, these discussions are in the preliminary stages, and Atlee is aiming to begin shooting the movie in the early months of 2025.

However, it remains to be seen if the megastar Salman Khan and his production team will be comfortable with Atlee’s revised remuneration demands. This comes after the filmmaker’s monumental success with his last venture, ‘Jawan’ (2023), featuring Shah Rukh Khan, which evidently escalated Atlee’s market value. Reports suggest that Atlee’s earlier project with Allu Arjun hit a standstill because the producers considered the director’s fee of R80 crore to be nonviable. Nonetheless, close sources to Atlee clarified that the halt in negotiations stemmed from creative differences with the ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ actor, and notably, there is no ill will between them. It isn’t a far-fetched notion to pair another major movie with a different Khan following the successful SRK collaboration, or is it?

In other news, the world of Tinsel Town is witnessing a flurry of activity. The production timeline for ‘Devara: Part 1’ has been advanced from October 10 to September 27, putting director Koratala Siva and his team in a race against time. The main actors, NTR Junior and Janhvi Kapoor, are expected to jet off to Thailand soon to film a romantic song sequence at some stunning locales on nearby islands. NTR Jr was recently spotted returning from Goa, wrapping up an intense action-packed schedule featuring several high-octane scenes alongside Ali Khan under challenging climatic conditions. The movie’s second installment is likely to commence shooting later this year.

In the digital age, the menace of fake accounts and misinformation continues unabated. Janhvi Kapoor, in particular, has found herself at the center of this storm, with numerous counterfeit profiles cropping up in her name on the popular micro-blogging platform, X. Alarmingly, some of these bogus accounts bear the verified blue tick, further muddling matters. Addressing the confusion, Janhvi’s spokesperson stated, “In the digital world, it is very easy to create an account in anyone’s name. This is to clarify that Janhvi Kapoor has no official account on X. Please refrain from using any information provided by these fake accounts.”
