Bollywood Buzz: Devgn and Kapoor Set to Reunite and Other Exciting Updates

Bollywood fans, here’s thrilling news that promises to bring a chuckle to your faces and some excitement to your daily grind. Over five years after their memorable stint in “Total Dhamaal” (2019), Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor are reported to be teaming up once again. Although Kapoor could not find room in his packed schedule for “De De Pyaar De 2,” he is still on board for another exhilarating project alongside Devgn. According to sources, these two powerhouses of Bollywood are set to reunite for the fourth installment of filmmaker Indra Kumar’s beloved Dhamaal franchise, tentatively titled “Dhamaal 4”.

In this upcoming comic escapade, fans can expect to see the ensemble cast of the last film returning for another hilarious treasure hunt. Joining Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor will be the charismatic Madhuri Dixit-Nene, the ever-entertaining Riteish Deshmukh, the comedy king Arshad Warsi, and the versatile Jaaved Jaaferi. Shooting for this fun-packed movie is slated to commence at the end of this year.

In a twist of cinematic fate and probably a scheduling wonder, Kumar and his producer-partner Ashok Thakeria’s Masti franchise is also set to see its fourth installment beginning around the same time. Directed by Milap Zaveri, this new comedy promises a reunion of the trio—Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani—who last shared screen space in the raunchy comedy “Great Grand Masti.” Casting for the essential supporting roles is currently underway, promising to bring fresh faces and new comedic talents to the big screen.

Meanwhile, in celebrity gossip that’s creating quite a buzz, rumors suggest that Sonakshi Sinha might be tying the knot with her beau Zaheer Iqbal. However, it appears that her father, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, is still in the dark about these developments. The veteran star, who recently won the Lok Sabha elections from Asansol, West Bengal, further clarified the situation. He mentioned that neither Sonakshi nor her friends have informed him about her wedding plans. “She hasn’t told me anything about it. If and when she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give the couple our blessings,” he stated. Shatrughan also humorously noted that today’s kids tend to inform their parents rather than seek their consent: “aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maa-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain.”

In other film updates, the horror-comedy genre is set to get another lease of life with the sequel to “Stree.” As Dinesh Vijan’s latest horror comedy “Munjya” hits theaters, teasers for “Stree 2” have been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Moving onto personal celebrations, last week, Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed their first child, a baby girl. In another piece of delightful news, the couple is set to move into Hrithik Roshan’s rented, sea-facing apartment in Juhu, a posh suburban locality. Hrithik is relocating to another property within the same area, making Varun and Natasha neighbors to Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala. With Akshay and Twinkle Khanna residing on the ground floor and Sajid Nadiadwala occupying the higher stories, Varun and Natasha’s new home sits cozily between these two celebrity residences. In the professional realm, Varun gears up for his next release, “Baby John” directed by Atlee, co-starring Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi.

In more Bollywood projects, Kriti Kharbanda, who tied the knot with Pulkit Samrat this March, is already diving back into the thick of work. She is reunited with her “Housefull 4” co-star Rana Daggubati for a currently untitled project. Though details remain under wraps, it is confirmed that half of the principal shooting is complete. Kriti has been spotted sporting a new, short-haired look for her role, hinting at an exciting character transformation. The next shooting schedule is expected to kick off soon.

Lastly, industry veteran Mahesh Bhatt is in recovery mode following recent cataract surgery. His first operation went smoothly, as shared by his wife, Soni Razdan, on social media: “When state-of-the-art technology is used by a healer like Dr. Himanshu Mehta to remove a cataract, you get a fresh taste of life.” Over the weekend, Bhatt underwent his second surgery and is expected to take it easy over the next few weeks to ensure a full recovery.
