Bollywood Icon Amitabh Bachchan Acquires Premium Alibaug Property for Rs 10 Crore

In a move that solidifies his presence in one of the most coveted holiday destinations near Mumbai, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has expanded his real estate portfolio by securing a luxurious piece of land in Alibaug. Known for its scenic coastal beauty and as a magnet for celebrities, Alibaug has attracted the likes of Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, and now Bachchan, affectionately known as Big B, has followed suit.

Amitabh Bachchan, whose Instagram profile (@amitabhbachchan) features a myriad of personal snapshots and professional throwbacks, quietly sealed the deal on a 10,000 square foot land parcel. This acquisition from The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) comes with a hefty price tag of Rs 10 crore. Set within an esteemed project known as ‘A Alibaug’, which spans over 20 acres, this land marks another significant investment for the megastar just months after he bought a sizable plot in Ayodhya.

The Ayodhya property, procured for Rs 14.50 crore, is enveloped by an aura of spirituality as it lies tantalizingly close, a mere 15 minutes, to the newly consecrated Lord Ram Temple. Moreover, the proximity to the upcoming Shri Ram International Airport, a mere 30-minute drive, adds to its strategic value. Here, HoABL is crafting a grand mix-use complex titled ‘The Sarayu’, a 51-acre site that promises to blend luxury with spirituality on the banks of the Sarayu River.

Reflecting on his association with HoABL and the Ayodhya venture, the cinematic titan shared, “I am looking forward to embarking on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries.”

He further expressed his deep emotional ties to the project, “This is a start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital.”

While Amitabh Bachchan is well-settled in his iconic Mumbai residence, Jalsa, where he meets his legion of fans every Sunday, he has also passed on his cherished bungalow Prateeksha to his daughter, Shweta Bachchan.

On the cinematic front, the Bollywood stalwart has not slowed down. He was recently seen in Vikas Bahl’s action flick ‘Ganapath’, alongside Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. Bachchan is gearing up for an exciting lineup of films, including a foray into sci-fi with ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which features an ensemble cast of Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Additionally, he also has the intriguing courtroom drama ‘Section 84’, lined up in his filmography, demonstrating that his artistic journey continues unabated.

Bachchan, now 81, maintains a prominent presence, both in the entertainment industry and in the personal aspirations that take form in his property investments. His latest acquisition in Alibaug is not merely a testament to his foresight in real estate but also an indicator of the star’s fondness for spaces that offer tranquility and luxury away from the urban grind, yet remain within an arm’s reach of the bustling metropolis of Mumbai.

This blend of his personal penchant for serene spaces and his continued professional vigor illustrates the multifaceted life of one of India’s most enduring stars, who remains as relevant and active today as he was decades ago when he first graced the silver screen.

As Amitabh Bachchan continues to weave his legacy through cinematic roles and thoughtful property investments, his fans and the industry alike watch keenly, anticipating what the legendary actor will bring to the table next, both on and off the screen.
