Bengaluru’s music scene is set to explode this weekend with an array of exhilarating live performances. Three highly anticipated events are ready to take over the city’s nightlife, promising diverse musical experiences to cater to every taste. Music lovers can look forward to an unforgettable weekend filled with genres ranging from soulful ballads and modern metal to high-energy electronic dance music.

### Raghav Meattle Returns to Bengaluru with Intezaar Tera Tour

The weekend kicks off with the return of singer-songwriter Raghav Meattle to Bengaluru as part of his multi-city Intezaar Tera tour, designed to promote his latest album. The concert is scheduled for June 30 at Fandom at Gilly’s Redefined, Koramangala, starting at 8 pm. Tickets are available for ₹499 via Insider.in, with an additional ₹500 cover charge at the door.

Meattle’s performance promises to be a blend of new tracks and fan favorites. As per the concert’s description, Meattle is set to bring on multiple collaborators during his set, stating, “Fans can look forward to listen to some Meattle classics from his debut album, Songs From A Matchbox too.” The tour will offer attendees a fresh perspective on his music, presenting a brand new set to the world.

The nine-track Intezaar Tera album, described by Meattle as “a captivating mixtape that delves into the theme of long-distance love, offering listeners a diverse array of soundscapes that reflect the intricacies and emotions associated with such relationships,” features soulful ballads like ‘Yeh Sama’ and ‘Tu Hai’ as well as upbeat numbers like ‘Kyu Duur Hai’ and ‘Bekarar’. According to a press release, “Each song on the album promises to take listeners on an evocative musical journey.”

### Modern Machines: The Inaugural Edition to Rock Bengaluru

On June 29, music enthusiasts can dive into the world of modern metal with the inaugural edition of Modern Machines at The Raft, Koramangala, from 7 pm onwards. Tickets are priced at ₹650 and are available via Skillboxes.com.

A bootstrap initiative by the event management and video production company HoldStill Records, Modern Machines brings together three bands that represent the cutting-edge of Bengaluru’s modern metal movement: Sapien Error, Hope Awake, and JekyllHyde.

. The event description promises a high-energy experience, stating, “Get ready to party hard with Sapien Error, Hope Awake and JekyllHyde as they perform a unique modern metal set including originals and covers from bands such as Monuments, Invent Animate, Northlane, Architects, Kadinja and more.”

While covers will be part of their setlists, expect a substantial amount of original music from each band. Sapien Error, who began releasing music in 2022, have gained attention with tracks like ‘Anomaly’ and ‘Heavy Fire’. Hope Awake, who define their style as modern metalcore, will be performing off the back of their debut single ‘Mortality’, released in May. Completing the lineup, JekyllHyde will introduce audiences to their dark and poetic style with songs like ‘Charybdis’, released in February, following their 2022 debut track ‘Fragments’.

### Experience Scandinavian EDM with Anamē at Gylt

Rounding off the weekend, on June 29, Scandinavian electronic dance music duo Anamē will electrify the stage at Gylt, Hennur, starting from 4 pm. Ticket prices are ₹699 for female general admission, ₹799 for male general admission, and ₹999 for couples, with all passes available via BookMyShow.com. Note that there is an additional cover charge after 8 pm.

Anamē, which takes its name from the Old Norse word for “to adapt”, is composed of Swedish artist Marcus Schössow and Norwegian DJ-producer Thomas Sägstad, who first met at a house party in Sweden. As part of their ongoing Beautiful World Tour, the duo will make their stop in Bengaluru, promising an expansive set that highlights their journey through the electronic dance music scene.

The duo achieved international recognition around 2022 with their signing to the renowned label Anjunabeats. They’ve since collaborated with some of the most celebrated names in the dance music world, including Above & Beyond and Marty Longstaff, on the track ‘Gratitude’. Their notable offerings for the dance floor include the club anthem ‘Influencer’, a collaboration with artists BLR and Robbie Rise, Lostep’s ‘Burma’, and ‘Tears From The Moon’ by Conjure One and Sinéad O’Connor.

In September last year, Anamē released their debut album Beautiful World, featuring hit singles such as ‘Anywhere (Road Trippin)’, ‘Someone We Used To Love’, and ‘Must Be Dreaming’.
