Check out Rakul Preet Singh’s customised kaleeras with heartstrings and envelopes

In a stunning display of tradition meets contemporary, Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh wedded producer Jackky Bhagnani in the scenic locale of Goa on the 21st of February. The wedding, which exuded elegance and grandeur, saw the couple indulge in the sacred vows of a Sikh as well as Sindhi ceremony, paying homage to their diverse cultural backgrounds.

On this blissful occasion, the couple were the epitome of style, donning custom-made ensembles by the renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani. Social media has been abuzz with talks of Rakul’s meticulously designed outfit and her unique wedding accessories, especially her tailored kaleeras, that have piqued the interest of fashion connoisseurs and fans alike.

The kaleeras, an essential part of traditional Punjabi bridal attire, were reimagined for Rakul by the talented jewellery designer Mrinalini Chandra. These ornate bridal accessories were given the evocative title ‘Enveloped in Love’. The creative vision for these kaleeras came from the mind of Rakul’s stylist, Ami Patel, who conjured the idea of engraving intimate messages from Rakul’s close-knit circle onto these symbolic pieces.

In a marriage of tradition and personalization, the kaleeras, coupled with a peach-hued choora, were adorned with an array of meaningful symbols: Rakul and Jackky’s initials, assorted religious emblems, a delicate shell, a whimsical paper plane, the timeless infinity sign, a pair of hands signifying connection, and evocative envelopes. These elements not only added a touch of modernity but also encapsulated the blessings and sentiments of those dearest to the couple.

Viewers swarmed to Mrinalini Chandra’s Instagram post, which unveiled the intricate details of Rakul’s kaleeras. Mrinalini expressed her pride in crafting these pieces, stating, “Rakul’s beautiful bespoke kaleeras are a melange of all the love she is surrounded with in her life. Our veteran karigars have handcrafted their magic into creating her a keepsake work of art.” The envelope motifs harbored personal engravings from friends and family, intertwining their heartfelt emotions into the union’s foundation.

The kaleeras, gracefully plated in a shimmering champagne gold, matched the splendor of Rakul’s fairytale wedding attire. They were further embellished with delicate hearts on strings and traditional ghunghrus, which added a harmonious melody to her movements. Each sparkle and gleam reflected love and blessings, a testament to the actress’s journey and the support of those who have been a part of her life.

Turning to the bridal costume itself, Rakul charmed onlookers with an intricately designed lehenga, festooned with hand-embroidered floral motifs. The sheer sleeves of her blouse were adorned with lustrous pearls and crystals, while the light pink base of the ensemble set a perfect background for the contrasting floral embellishments. Polki jewellery completed her bridal look, aligning with the quintessential Indian bride’s aesthetics. Rakul’s makeup was kept minimalistic, with a fresh dewy base and subtlety tinted pink lips.

In the midst of the wedding festivities, fans of Rakul remain excited for her professional endeavours, as she is slated to appear in the much-anticipated film ‘Indian 2’ alongside Kamal Haasan. The film, which also features Bobby Simhaa and Priya Bhavani Shankar in significant roles, is a sequel to the 1996 classic that portrayed Kamal Haasan as an aged freedom fighter against the tides of corruption.

Rakul’s wedding has undoubtedly captured the hearts of many, not just for its romantic ambiance but for the thoughtful incorporation of personalized elements that reflected the couple’s individuality and love. As they embark upon this new journey, the celebrations and Rakul’s bespoke kaleeras will be fondly remembered as a beautiful blend of familial love, cultural homage, and contemporary elegance.
