“Ekam: Anthology of Interwoven Narratives Premieres July 13”

The makers have unveiled the trailer for Ekam, the Kannada web series produced by Rakshit Shetty’s Paramvah Studios in collaboration with Journeyman Productions. This highly anticipated project, which started production in 2020, will go live on Rakshit Shetty’s own digital platform, www.ekamtheseries.com.

Ekam is a unique anthology, comprising seven different stories brought to life by a stellar cast including names such as Prakash Raj, Raj B Shetty, Shine Shetty, and Manasi Sudheer among others. With its launch date set for July 13, the series promises to captivate audiences with its intricate storytelling and dynamic performances.

The creators of the series, Sandeep PS and Sumanth Bhat, promise a deeply engaging viewing experience. “Storytelling so brutally powerful that all the boundaries known are shattered, and story alone reigns!” read a tweet introducing the trailer. “Presenting the trailer of our web series #EKAM – a fraction of the multitude, united into one! I hope you receive it with love ♥️”.

The journey to bringing Ekam to the audience has not been without its challenges. “We have faced rejections on all OTT platforms because Ekam is a Kannada show, and they are not yet in the market for Kannada shows,” commented Sumanth Bhat earlier. In response to the lack of OTT interest, the creators have taken a bold step in making Ekam available directly to viewers through their own platform for a one-time fee of Rs 149, comparable to the price of a movie ticket.

The project features an ensemble cast that includes not just Prakash Raj and Raj B Shetty, but also Shine Shetty, Manasi Sudheer, Prakash Thuminad, Shanil Guru, Mime Ramdas, Ujwal U V, Pallavi Kodagu, Champa P Shetty, Babu Annur, and Sanal Aman. This impressive lineup of talent is poised to deliver performances that will resonate with viewers.

Sumanth Bhat, Swaroop Elamon, Sanal Aman, Sankar Gangadharan, and Vivek Vinod have taken on the directorial duties, with the story being shaped by a collaboration of writers including Satheesan Puthumana, Satyajit Rout, Sumanth Bhat, and Shashikanth Shetty.
