‘Fighter’ Box Office: Hrithik Roshan-starrer sees a dip after Republic day to cross Rs 100 cr today

Siddharth Anand’s star-studded action feature “Fighter” has unleashed a wave of patriotic zeal on the big screens, captivating audiences nationwide with its exhilarating blend of heart-racing action sequences and a heartfelt display of patriotism. The movie, starring the dynamic duo Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, has firmly cemented its success at the box office with impressive figures from the get-go.

Opening with a stellar Rs. 24.60 crore, “Fighter” exhibited remarkable growth on its second day, garnering a substantial Rs. 41.60 crore. However, following the patriotic fervor of Republic Day, the film experienced a slight downturn on the subsequent Saturday, accumulating Rs. 27.60 crore for the day. Despite this transient dip, the aggregate takings have soared to a formidable Rs. 93.40 crore over three days, putting the film on course to breach the coveted 100 crore club by Sunday.

“Fighter” has become the toast of both audiences and critics alike, benefiting from the positive buzz and earning a tremendous show of approval. The film’s performance on Saturday not only surpassed its Thursday earnings but also continued to maintain an impressive run, promising a substantial weekend tally.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the day three box office updates on his social media handle, applauding the film for its robust collection post the Republic Day holiday. He noted, “Fighter packs a strong total on Day 3 [Sat] post the national holiday [RepublicDay]… Major centres – dominated by multiplexes – continue to dominate, adding weight to its biz… Thu 24.60 cr, Fri 41.20 cr, Sat 27.60 cr. Total: Rs 93.40 cr. India biz. #Boxoffice.” Adarsh also pointed out that for “Fighter” to surpass the Saturday figures on the crucial Sunday – which would be the last day of the extended weekend – it would require a surge in mass pockets, complementing the business accrued from more urbanized regions.

Adding to the torrent of fan appreciation, the cast and crew of “Fighter” immersed themselves in the euphoria of the cinematic release with a visit to a packed theatre in Mumbai. The event saw the lead star Hrithik Roshan, joined by fellow cast members Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and director Siddharth Anand. Their presence took fans by surprise and propelled the excitement to new heights. Greeting the crowds, Hrithik Roshan shared his heartfelt thanks for the tremendous love and support “Fighter” had received.

“Fighter” is currently enjoying a phenomenal theatrical run and has been hailed for presenting a remarkable cinema experience. Helmed by Siddharth Anand and presented by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, the film stands as a paragon of cinematic splendor, masterfully weaving high-octane action with a passionate undercurrent of nationalism.

The team’s authentic connection with their audience, combined with the sharp direction and production, suggest that “Fighter” is not just about flashy sequences and high-stakes drama but also resonates on a deeper level with viewers across the country. Its box office performance is a testament to a well-crafted story, top-tier acting, and the unyielding power of Indian cinema to bring people together, especially during times of national pride.

As “Fighter” approaches its first major financial milestone, the industry looks on with eager anticipation, recognizing the potential for even greater success in the days to come. With such impressive credentials, it’s clear that “Fighter” encapsulates the spirit of triumph, both in its narrative and its real-world achievements.
