The Ghost of Tsushima media franchise continues to expand. With a movie adaptation already underway, the acclaimed PlayStation game from Sucker Punch is now set to get an anime series.
The series, set to premiere on Crunchyroll in 2027, will adapt the storyline of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, the 2020 co-operative multiplayer follow-up to the original game.

The anime is being developed by Sony and Crunchyroll in collaboration with Aniplex, the studio behind renowned titles like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Sword Art Online. It is being directed by Takanobu Mizuno.
Ghost of Tsushima is a samurai action-adventure game set in feudal Japan. The game takes stylistic inspiration from classic Japanese samurai films, particularly the works of Akira Kurosawa. Its Legends storyline combines elements of Japanese mythology and folklore.
