The Hindu Lit for Life is presented by KIA India and in association with Christ University. Associate partners include RR Donnelley, Blue Star, Brigade Group, NITTE Deemed-to-be University, PROchure, Singer, Uttarakhand Tourism, Chennai Port Authority & Kamarajar Port Ltd, Vajiram and Ravi, Indian Bank and Akshayakalpa. The festival will host Madras Busking at the venue, where writers and artistes will engage in conversations. They will recreate the essence of each exchange through poetry using typewriters or illustrations on January 18 and 19.

Mobile library, an initiative by The Hindu Lit for Life, has two vans loaded with books. Spot them at prominent locations in Chennai till January 17 and the festival venue on January 18 and 19. Read, and donate books for underprivileged children.

The Hindu Lit for Life is hosting Rap Battle on January 12. Finalists, who rap in Tamil and English, have been shortlisted from over 100 entries. The war of verses will start at 3pm and will be held at Brigade Xanadu, Chennai. .
In association will the British Council, the Tales and Talks, will take place on January 12 at The British Council Library, Chennai. The two sessions, starting at 5pm are Get Mischievous with Math (where author of The Mischief of Math will engage in a talk with Vaishnavi Vijay) and Anbu Mangal: A Discussion on Representation and New Dalit Narratives (with Bama, Krithika Sriram and Jaisingh Nageswaran in conversation with Meena Kandasamy). A special feature at the festival grounds, Imprint: the paper and book project, will explore the materiality of art. Divided into two sections — The Paper Project and the Book Project, curated by Sharan Apparao and Shijo Jacob respectively — the exhibition will showcase artworks on paper by contemporary artists from across India on January 18 and 19.
