Here’s where you can watch Shah Rukh Khan’s classic love stories on the big screen this week

As the season of romance approaches its peak with Valentine’s Day on the horizon, cinephiles are offered a chance to immerse themselves once again in the allure of classic Bollywood love stories, but this time on the grand canvas of cinema halls. The king of romance, Shah Rukh Khan, synonymous with love in Hindi cinema, has graced the big screens once more as his iconic films make a much-celebrated return. The nostalgia is tangible as Yash Raj Films (YRF) announces an extension of its Nostalgia Film Festival, featuring cult Shah Rukh Khan starrers for an additional week due to public demand, setting the stage from 16th to 22nd of February.

This cinematic event, initially scheduled from the 19th to the 22nd of January, was met with such love and fervor that YRF decided to prolong this journey down memory lane. In this extension, moviegoers can indulge in films such as ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ), ‘Mohabbatein’, and ‘Veer-Zaara’. These movies will be showcased at select PVR-INOX and Miraj cinemas, offered at the special ticket price of Rs 112, a gesture that guarantees a trip filled with nostalgia and the rediscovery of beloved narratives.

DDLJ, Shah Rukh Khan’s monumental film also starring Kajol, remains one of the most cherished love stories in the history of Indian cinema. Its enduring charm lies in Raj and Simran’s journey, as Raj endeavors to win the approval of Simran’s family in a tale replete with emotion, catchy music, and enthralling dance numbers. Directed by Aditya Chopra, the film has transcended time, remaining a cultural phenomenon to this day.

‘Mohabbatein’ presents Shah Rukh Khan in the role of a music teacher, embodying the very essence of love as he challenges the stringent beliefs of the school’s principal, played by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. The film poignantly captures the teacher’s rebellious spirit as he inspires his students to follow their hearts against the backdrop of strict institutional rules.

‘Veer-Zaara’ is yet another masterpiece, a cross-border love story infused with emotion and artistry that is sure to bring tears to viewers’ eyes. Its narrative weaves an unforgettable tale of love that transcends boundaries and time.

Yash Raj Films took to social media to celebrate this exciting extension, urging film aficionados to seize this opportunity: “Enjoy your favourite films with #NostalgiaFilmFestival From 16th-22nd Feb at @_PVRCinemas @INOXMovies @MirajCinemas. It’s not just classics that are keeping Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen. His latest release ‘Dunki’ also continues to draw audiences to theaters despite its availability on the OTT platform, Netflix. The popularity of the Rajkumar Hirani directorial further cements Khan’s unshakeable position in the hearts of movie lovers.
