Jackky Bhagnani-Rakul Preet Singh wedding: The couple have shortlisted designers for the nuptials!

In the lush landscapes of Goa, the much-anticipated matrimony of actress Rakul Preet Singh and producer Jackky Bhagnani is set to be a grand affair, with the couple having recently finalized the designers for their wedding ceremonies. The excitement is palpable across Bollywood and fashion circles as the duo are known for their impeccable style and taste.

The wedding festivities have garnered immense interest, especially regarding the couple’s choice of attire for the various events. It has been disclosed by the Hindustan Times that in line with the intimate nature of their celebration, three distinguished designers have been shortlisted to dress the bride and groom over the course of three days.

A confidential source shed light on their decisions, stating, “Jackky and Rakul want to ensure their wedding attire is a true reflection of their personalities and love for tradition. They’re looking at iconic creations from the likes of Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, and Tarun Tahiliani, and are close to finalizing their selections.”

With the nuptials approaching later in the month, Rakul Preet Singh, a versatile actress with a significant presence in both Bollywood and South Indian cinema, participated in a spiritual ceremony – an Akhand Paath. On February 3rd, she shared a glimpse of the occasion with her Instagram followers, posting a serene selfie dressed in a modest blue outfit, her head respectfully covered, and captioned it with references to the Sikh religious reading and a snippet of the ‘Ek Onkar’ soundtrack by AR Rahman.

An Akhand Paath is a continuous recitation of the entire Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikhism, undertaken over 48 hours, marking momentous life events such as marriages. This underscores the cultural significance and personal devotion involved in the lead-up to their wedding.

The lovebirds initially considered an overseas destination wedding but shifted gears, deciding to marry in their homeland of India. The last-minute change, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for influential families to celebrate such occasions within India’s borders, speaks to their nationalistic spirit and desire to bolster the national economy.

The initial plans for a Middle East wedding were upended mid-December, moments after the PM’s plea. The resulting change of plans saw the couple fully embracing an Indian destination wedding. A resource close to the couple revealed the ardor with which they undertook the process: “After months of meticulous planning for a Middle East ceremony, everything was pretty much settled. But aligning with the appeal made by the PM, Rakul and Jackky showed remarkable agility in shifting the venue to India.”

Scheduled to take place over two days and to conclude on February 21, the celebrations are anticipated to be a delightful exposition of love, culture, and exquisite fashion. With the ceremonial Akhand Paath already underway and the grand event set in breathtaking Goa, the stage is set for Rakul and Jackky to embark on their new journey together. Fans are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of their wedding day ensembles and details of the celebrations, as the couple’s preference for an intimate yet sophisticated affair has undoubtedly set high benchmarks for glamour and sentiment.
