Janhvi Kapoor Sheds Light on Ideal Partner at ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ Event

At a recent event promoting her highly-anticipated film ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’, Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor opened up about what she desires in a life partner. The actress, who has been making several public appearances with her rumored beau Shikhar Pahariya, spoke candidly about the essential qualities she seeks in a relationship. “The person should consider my dreams as his own, and be my solid support system through thick and thin,” Kapoor revealed. This isn’t the first time Janhvi has shared insights into her personal life; she has previously mentioned that Pahariya holds a special place in her life, even being on her speed dial.

Jahnvi Kapoor’s engagement in the film ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’, where she will be seen alongside Rajkummar Rao, adds another feather to her cap. Set to release on May 31, the film will see Janhvi playing the challenging role of a cricketer, a part that has already piqued the interest of her fans and cinephiles alike.

Meanwhile, another significant development in Bollywood comes from Arjun Kapoor, who has recently wrapped up filming for the cop drama ‘Singham Again’. Directed by the renowned Rohit Shetty, this film positions Arjun in a negative role for the first time. Reflecting on his experience, Arjun stated, “Wrapping up my part of the shoot for my 20th film and a mass entertainer like Singham Again feels like a significant achievement in my journey as an actor. This is the stuff you dream of when you watch masala films growing up! Working alongside Rohit Shetty sir has been an absolute privilege. Together with him and his team, we’ve poured our hearts and souls into this project.” ‘Singham Again’ had its first clapperboard moment on September 16 and includes Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in significant roles. The film is slated for an Independence Day 2024 release.

In other news, actors Vijay Varma and Mini Mathur have expressed their sorrow over the tragedy involving a collapsed hoarding in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area, an incident that claimed 16 lives. The hoarding fell amidst heavy rain and dust storms prompting questions about its legality. Utilizing her Instagram Stories, Mathur criticized the authorities, saying, “Life in our country has zero value. Whose hoarding is it? Who allowed it to stand there for years? The blame game this week will lead to no answers, and the corrupt nexus that allowed the open flouting of rules will never be taken apart. Disgusting.” Vijay Varma also took to Instagram to share a video of the tragic event, captioning it with a somber, “Oh no.”

The Telugu and Hindi film industries were met with unfortunate news as well, with single-screen theatres in Telangana deciding to shut down for ten days. The decision comes amid a lack of blockbuster releases this summer, leading to financial concerns. Telangana houses around 250 single-screen theatres, with about 100 located in Hyderabad. Fans eagerly await major star-studded films like Prabhas’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’, which are both currently in production.

Veteran actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently shared his experiences of working with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in celebrated films like ‘Talaash: The Answer Lies Within’ and ‘Sarfarosh’. Reflecting on these moments, Siddiqui remarked, “Sharing the screen with Aamir in both Sarfarosh and Talaash has been a remarkable journey. Off the sets, our bond was just as strong, full of mutual respect and an unspoken understanding. Aamir’s dedication and passion for his craft are truly inspiring, and our discussions often went beyond scripts and scenes; we loved discussing cinema.”

As for the younger generation of stars, actor Babil Khan, the son of the late Irrfan Khan, celebrated his 26th birthday in an unconventional way—by working. Babil spent his special day dubbing for his upcoming project, details of which remain undisclosed. He was last seen in the streaming series ‘The Railway Men’, alongside Kay Kay Menon and R Madhavan. The series recounts the heroics of railway workers during the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.

In a lighter vein, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to social media to honor Hollywood legend Meryl Streep, sharing her admiration through a post on Instagram. Kareena wrote, “O Meryl, there is absolutely no one like you,” alongside an image of Streep from the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Meryl Streep was the recipient of the honorary Palme d’Or at the prestigious event.

These snippets from Bollywood reveal a medley of emotions, from personal aspirations and professional achievements to heartfelt condolences, as stars continue to captivate the public with their lives both on and off the screen.
