‘Kannappa’: Akshay Kumar poses as Lord Shiva in first look


The makers of Kannappa have released the first look of Akshay Kumar from the movie. The pan-Indian movie, featuring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh.
In the poster, Akshay Kumar is seen as Lord Shiva, carrying a trident and a drum, symbols of the Hindu deity. The caption on the poster reads, “The supreme lord who rules over the three worlds surrenders himself to pure devotion.”

Akshay Kumar had previously played Shiva in Oh My God 2, starring Pankaj Tripathi. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Vishnu Manchu, the film has Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, R Sarathkumar, Preity Mukundan, Arput Ranka, Kaushal Manda and Devaraj in prominent roles.

Produced by Mohan Babu, Kannappa is set to release in theatres on April 25, 2025. Reportedly mounted on a huge budget, the movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
