After the birth of her daughter, Mehr, the world was already grappling with the COVID-19 lockdowns, creating a challenging environment for health and fitness routines. During this period, Neha managed to shed some weight by maintaining a controlled diet at home. However, she soon found herself pregnant with her son, Guriq, which led to another phase of weight gain. Over the span of four years, her weight seesawed.

“When I was pregnant, I wasn’t worried about how I was going to look during postpartum,” Neha admitted candidly. She revealed that she breastfed both her children for a year each, an act that increased her appetite significantly and depleted her energy levels. This breastfeeding period naturally caused her body to hold on to extra weight. It wasn’t until a year ago that Neha decided to take control and made a firm commitment to both exercise and a proper diet, subsequently losing a commendable 23 kilos.

While Neha has made impressive strides in her weight loss journey, she openly shared that she is still working towards her ultimate fitness goals, including achieving her desired weight and inch size. “I still haven’t reached exactly where I wanted to in terms of my weight and inch size, but I am sure I will get there in the near future,” she expressed with determination.

A significant outcome of Neha’s weight loss has been a notable resurgence in her professional life. The actress, known for her role in ‘A Thursday’, stated that her newfound fitness has not only made her feel better physically but also professionally. “I feel so much better, especially in a profession where physical appearance matters a great deal.

. But, I have always embraced who I am. Professionally, I’ve noticed an increase in offers now, and I feel and look better in my clothes,” she added.

Diving deeper into her fitness regime, Neha, a busy working mother, emphasized the importance of maintaining her energy levels. Unlike many dieters, she does not drastically cut down on calories. Instead, she follows a balanced diet and enjoys running, with occasional visits to the gym. “I enjoy running and occasionally hit the gym. I’ve cut out sugar, fried foods, and gluten but otherwise maintain a balanced diet. I don’t deliberately do intermittent fasting but it happens because of the lifestyle I have. I have dinner with my kids at 7:00 pm which is very helpful, and breakfast with my husband at 11 am. All of this helps,” Neha elaborated.

She will next appear in ‘Bad Newz’, a film that promises to be a delightful departure from conventional romantic comedies.
