Newlyweds Rakul Preet Singh Jackky Bhagnani receive prasadam from Ayodhya post wedding

Bollywood’s newly married Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani have started their matrimonial journey with auspicious blessings. Rakul shared on her Instagram stories that the duo received a sacred box of ‘prasadam’ from the holy city of Ayodhya, signaling a divine commencement of their life as a couple.

The ceremonial box, blessed by the spiritual aura of Ayodhya, came complete with a silver coin and a replica of the Ram Mandir—a significant and revered emblem for devotees. The gesture is deeply symbolic, especially since the couple had previously offered prayers at a replica of the Ram Mandir chariot in Mumbai, built for individuals unable to visit the actual temple during its inauguration.

The post shared by Rakul shows her deep appreciation with the words, “Blessed beyond measure to receive prasadam from Ayodhya after our wedding. Truly a divine start to our journey together.” This blessing comes on the heels of their lavish wedding ceremonies that took place in Goa on February 21.

Their wedding, which brought together elements of Punjabi and Sikh traditions, was a dazzling display of culture and couture. Jackky Bhagnani looked regal in an ivory chikankari sherwani designed by Tarun Tahiliani. The outfit garnered special attention with its intricate hand-embroidered details and a gracefully pleated stole, accentuating the grandeur of the occasion.

Rakul Preet Singh looked no less than a vision in her customized wedding attire, also crafted by Tahiliani. Her lehenga was a masterpiece adorned with hand-embroidered florals beautifully complementing the light pink palette. Embellished with pearls and crystals, the sheer sleeves of her blouse sparkled with finesse. To complete the ethereal bridal avatar, she chose understated polki jewelry and a subtle makeup look with tinted pink lips, exuding elegance and simplicity.

The post-wedding festivities continued as the couple landed back in Mumbai, where they were seen distributing hampers to members of the media and paparazzi—a gesture of gratitude and joy. Rakul and Jackky’s gestures reflect their down-to-earth personalities, despite their star status.

Jackky’s father, the prominent producer Vashu Bhagnani, announced to ANI that they plan to host a welcome party in the city for guests who could not make it to their destination wedding. Additionally, he mentioned that the couple’s honeymoon would commence after the release of the highly anticipated film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ produced by the Bhagnani’s, which features Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles.

Switching to professional commitments, the newlyweds are occupied with their upcoming cinematic projects. Rakul Preet Singh will share the screen with the legendary Kamal Haasan in ‘Indian 2,’ the sequel to the 1996 cult classic film that highlighted the struggles of an aged freedom fighter combating corruption. The sequel promises to be a notable addition to Rakul’s impressive filmography.

Meanwhile, Jackky Bhagnani’s schedule is marked with the release of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. This thrilling action-feature will also star Prithviraj Sukumaran and is scheduled for an Eid 2024 release.

As the couple embarks on this new adventure together, these developments in their personal and professional lives have captivated their fans and supporters. The blessings received from Ayodhya symbolize a sacred touch to their communal life, inviting joy and prosperity as they navigate the film’s release and their exciting journey ahead in matrimony.
