Rajinikanth Embarks on Spiritual Expedition to Himalayas


Dehradun, Uttarakhand – In a remarkable blend of his spiritual and professional life, Superstar Rajinikanth has once again set off on a spiritual journey to the sacred caves in the Himalayas. The iconic actor, known for his profound philosophical outlook and larger-than-life screen presence, departed from Chennai and arrived at Dehradun Airport to commence this annual tradition. Rajinikanth spoke to the media about his intentions and the significance of these spiritual excursions.

“Every year, I encounter new experiences that enrich my spiritual journey and compel me to return. I believe even this time, I will encounter new insights,” he revealed in an interview with ANI. Highlighting the importance of spirituality in today’s world, Rajinikanth elaborated, “The whole world needs spirituality because it is crucial for every human being. Being spiritual means experiencing peace and tranquility, and fundamentally, it involves believing in God.”

Recently, Rajinikanth was spotted at the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, where he sought blessings. Images and videos of his visit were shared on the official social media accounts of the temple, amplifying the spiritual side of his personality. During this visit, he was conferred with a golden visa by the UAE’s Department of Culture and Tourism.

The veteran actor expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the Abu Dhabi government and his friend MA Yusuff Ali, chairman and managing director of Lulu Group, for facilitating this honor. In one of the viral videos, he was seen saying, “I am deeply honored to receive the prestigious UAE Golden visa from the Abu Dhabi Government.”

On the professional front, Rajinikanth has recently wrapped up the shooting for his much-anticipated movie ‘Vettaiyan,’ directed by TJ Gnanavel. The movie, marking Rajinikanth’s 170th film, features an ensemble cast including the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan. Anirudh Ravichander has provided the music for this film, which is set for a worldwide release in October this year.

Earlier in the month, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan were seen filming together in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan treated fans to a heartwarming photo on his Instagram handle where he and Rajinikanth are seen sharing a candid hug. Captioning the photo, Amitabh wrote, “I am honored and privileged to be with the Thala the Great Rajni again. He hasn’t changed at all—still the same simple, humble, down-to-earth friend despite his stratospheric greatness!”

The production company chose to unveil the title teaser of ‘Vettaiyan’ on Rajinikanth’s 73rd birthday, much to the delight of his fans across the globe. The film has been shot in various locations, including Trivandrum, Tirunelveli, and Tuticorin.

Rajinikanth was last seen in his daughter Aishwarya’s directorial venture ‘Lal Salaam’, a Tamil-language sports drama that explores themes of caste oppression and religious discrimination.
