In a statement, Saif Ali Khan’s team said that the Bollywood star is “out of danger”. On January 16, 2025 (Thursday) around 2:30 am, Saif reportedly suffered multiple injuries after he was attacked by a knife by an intruder at his residence in Mumbai.
“Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress,” said the statement.
The actor was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital at around 3:30 am by his son Ibrahim Ali Khan and another member from his family. Saif’s family thanked the doctors. “We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr Leena Jain and the team at Lilavati hospital.”
Saif stays at the Satguru Sharan building in Mumbai with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and children Taimur and Jeh. The statement further said that the actor’s family was unharmed during the incident. “All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time.”

On Thursday morning, a statement from the team of the actor’s wife’, Kareena Kapoor Khan, said an attempted burglary led to the grievious situation. “There was an attempted burglary inSaif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in the hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the police is already doing their due investigations,” read the statement.

Reports said Ibrahim, Saif’s son from his first marriage with Amrita Singh, learnt about the incident and rushed to the actor’s residence to shift him to the hospital. Doctors at the Lilavati Hospital said that Saif had suffered six injuries from the knife attack.
