Bollywood actor Salman Khan has made a startling revelation, asserting that he believes the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the shooting incident at his Galaxy Apartments residence in Mumbai this past April. According to Khan, the sinister motive behind the attack was to kill him and his family members.
This shocking allegation by the actor is now part of a charge sheet submitted by the Mumbai Police to the court, elaborating on the details of the events that transpired on the fateful night. In his statement to the police, Salman Khan described how he was jolted awake by what he thought was the sound of firecrackers at around 4:55 am in the early hours of April 14.
The situation escalated when his police bodyguard informed him that two individuals on a motorbike had fired shots at his first-floor balcony. Khan mentioned that previous attempts had been made to harm him and his family, prompting his bodyguard to lodge an official complaint regarding the incident at the Bandra police station.
Adding to the dossier of threats against him, Khan learned that Lawrence Bishnoi, along with his brother Anmol Bishnoi, had openly confessed and claimed responsibility for the attack in a brazen Facebook post. The statement disclosed that the Bishnoi brothers had previously threatened Khan and his family on multiple occasions, reinforcing the actor’s belief that the gang had orchestrated the firing incident with the aim to assassinate him and his family members while they were asleep.
Salman Khan also recounted a series of other malicious threats directed at his family over the recent years. Notably, in 2022, a menacing letter was discovered on a bench opposite his building, and in March 2023, the family received an ominous email from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Furthermore, in January 2024, two unidentified individuals attempted to breach security using fake identities to access Khan’s Panvel farmhouse.

The police, in their investigation, have filed an extensive 1,735-page charge sheet regarding the April firing incident with the special court for Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) cases. The special court, after perusal of the charge sheet, acknowledged that there was sufficient prima facie evidence to proceed against the six accused individuals who have been apprehended in connection with the case.
The six arrested individuals include Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Anujkumar Thapan (now deceased), Mohd Rafiq Choudhary, and Harpal Singh. It’s noteworthy that not all apprehended suspects have remained in police custody; specifically, Thapan allegedly took his own life while in police custody. The remaining five accused are currently held in judicial custody as the investigation continues to evolve.
Salman Khan’s brother, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan, also provided a statement to the police that corroborated the series of threats and the attempt to trespass into their farmhouse in Panvel. Arbaaz Khan noted that Salman had consistently reminded their family members to stay vigilant regarding their safety.
Arbaaz, who was away during the April 14 incident, shared his conviction that Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang were unequivocally responsible for the attack, targeting their family members. His testimony adds another layer of gravity to the allegations, backing Salman Khan’s assertions about the continual life-endangering threats posed by the Bishnoi gang.
In a growing atmosphere of tension and concern for safety, the forthcoming legal proceedings will scrutinize the extent of the threats and the role of the accused in orchestrating the deadly attack on one of Bollywood’s most prominent families. As the investigation deepens, both the public and the Khan family await justice and resolution to this unnerving series of events.
