The teaser of the upcoming Malayalam film, Sarkeet, starring Asif Ali, was released by the makers on Tuesday, on Asif’s 39th birthday. Also starring Divya Prabha of All We Imagine As Light fame, the film is written and directed by Thamar KV, who made his feature directorial debut with 1001 Nunakal.
In the teaser, we see Asif’s character and his nephew (played by master Orhan), star-gazing at their rooftop. When the little one asks his uncle about the stars, Asif replies, “You and I were once stars in the sky. At night, those stars look down just like this. At that time, our parents call those stars down to the earth. When the stars hear their call, they choose the homes they love, come down, and are born as children. That’s how you and I landed on this earth.”
The teaser promises a heartwarming tale of family and friendship. Sarkeet also features Deepak Parambol, Swathi Das Prabhu, and Alexander Prasanth among others.
With music scored by Govind Vasantha, the film has cinematography by Aeyaz. Premalu-actor Sangeeth Prathap is in charge of editing. Sarkeet is produced by Vinayaka Ajith and Florine Dominic under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films, in association with Action Filmz.
