In an exclusive interview with Grazia India, Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia revealed her apprehensions about outdoing her previous performance while filming the dance number ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ for the upcoming film Stree 2. Known predominantly for her role in the Baahubali series, Bhatia’s concerns stemmed largely from the overwhelming success of her previous dance number, ‘Kaavaalaa,’ which she performed alongside superstar Rajinikanth in the 2023 film Jailer. She candidly shared her thoughts, commenting, “On the heels of Kaavaalaa’s success, doing the song for Stree 2 felt very risky. I thought, ‘Will I be able to top what I’ve already done?’”
However, Bhatia’s concerns were alleviated when the film’s director, Amar Kaushik, approached her. “Amar met me and said, ‘I have this song for you, and it’s actually very crucial to the storyline,’” she recollected. This assurance was sufficient for Bhatia to throw herself into the performance wholeheartedly. Despite the initial risk, her instincts led her to accept the challenge.
The song ‘Aaj Ki Raat,’ sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and masterfully composed by the dynamic music duo Sachin-Jigar, has already caught the public’s attention. I don’t like such restrictions.”
