Television Stars Share Heartwarming Raksha Bandhan Plans


Mumbai: As Raksha Bandhan 2024 approaches, television actors Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe, Ankit Raizada, and Aditi Tripathi have opened up about their unique plans for celebrating this cherished festival.

Ankit Gupta, who plays Rannvijay in “Maati Se Bandhi Dor,” highlighted that his busy shoot schedule might hinder traditional celebrations. “This year I’ll be shooting on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. If I get a day off or finish early, I’ll celebrate with my brother since I don’t have a sister. Over the years, my bond with my brother has become incredibly special and stronger,” Ankit shared.

Reflecting on his fondest memories of the festival, Ankit recalled, “Being the youngest, I’ve always been showered with love. One of my treasured memories is when my cousin sisters used to tie rakhis that had watches. I adored those rakhis.”

Rutuja Bagwe, who portrays Vaiju in “Maati Se Bandhi Dor,” will also be on set this Raksha Bandhan. “I don’t have a brother, but my sister ties rakhi to me every year. If she gets a day off, she’ll come to the set, and we’ll celebrate it there. I celebrate Raksha Bandhan with my sister and cousins each year. I prefer tying rakhi made of chandan and always give my sister a gift of her choice.”

Rutuja fondly adds, “The happiness on her face is something I eagerly wait for and cherish. Even though she’s my younger sister, she sometimes gives off elder vibes. Meanwhile, I, being the elder one, take care of her like a mother. Our bond is very special, and every year we make lifelong memories.”

Ankit Raizada, who plays Aman Singh Rajpoot in “Advocate Anjali Awasthi,” is also busy with shoots. He revealed, “This year, I’ll probably be shooting for ‘Advocate Anjali Awasthi.’ If we get a day off, I’ll definitely spend it with my cousin sisters because I have a real brother.”

Ankit ensures this Raksha Bandhan will be extra special for his cousin. “This year I’ll surprise one of my cousin sisters with a jersey she’s been wanting for a long time. She’s a football player, and this gift will make her very happy. It’s for these little moments of happiness that we live and celebrate.”

Aditi Tripathi, who stars as Deepika in “Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,” expressed her excitement for the festival. “Raksha Bandhan is always very special, especially for sisters, as they receive promises of protection from their brothers along with numerous gifts. I can’t wait to see what he has got for me this year.”

Aditi’s bond with her brother is heartfelt. “Like every year, I’ll celebrate this festival with my brother. Every year, our bond evolves.

This year’s Raksha Bandhan is going to be even more special as I’ll be surprising one of my cousin sisters with a jersey she has been wanting for a long time. She’s a football player, and I’ll be finally gifting her that jersey. It’s for these little happiness that we live and celebrate these moments.”
