New Delhi: The iconic angry birds are making a raucous comeback! After much anticipation, fans have been rewarded with the exciting news that ‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’ is officially in the works. The beloved franchise will continue to follow the adventurous exploits of Red and Chuck, as voiced by the talented Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad.

Jason Sudeikis, renowned for his work on “Ted Lasso,” “SNL,” and “We’re the Millers,” is set to reprise his role as Red. He is represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and TAG. Similarly, Josh Gad, famous for “Frozen,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Gutenberg!,” and “Murder on the Orient Express,” will once again bring Chuck to life. Gad’s representation comes from Sugar 23, CAA, and JSSK. Fans can expect more casting announcements in the near future.

Helming the project as the director is John Rice, whose credits include “Angry Birds” and “Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe.” The screenplay will be crafted by Thurop Van Orman, known for “Angry Birds 2,” “Adventure Time,” and “Flapjack.” Van Orman will also take on the role of executive producer alongside Toru Nakahara, who has an impressive repertoire with titles like “Sonic the Hedgehog,” “Sonic Prime,” and “Golden Axe.”

The production team is stacked with heavyweights including John Cohen, known for “Despicable Me,” “The Garfield Movie,” and “Angry Birds;” Dan Chuba, who worked on “The Mitchells vs. the Machines;” and Carla Connor from “The Willoughbys.”

Ensuring the visual elements match the high standards fans expect, Jeanie Chang returns as the production designer, and Francesca Natale will continue her role as the character designer. The head of the story team is Vadim Bazhanov, and Sarah K. Reimers will lead editing efforts. DNEG Animation will be responsible for storyboards, art development, and animation, maintaining their reputation for quality and creativity.

Collaboration is key to the success of this project, with Rovio and SEGA teaming up to produce the film alongside Namit Malhotra and his production company Prime Focus Studios. Prime Focus Studios recently gained acclaim co-producing “The Garfield Movie” with Alcon Entertainment.
