Trisha joins the cast of Chiranjeevi-Vassishta’s ‘Vishwambhara’

The Telugu film industry is buzzing with the news of Trisha’s casting in the highly anticipated Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Vishwambhara’, directed by Vassishta. The joining of Trisha to the project was greeted with much fanfare as the veteran actor Chiranjeevi took to social media, where a spirited exchange of posts ensued between him, the filmmaker, and Trisha herself.

In a grand reveal, Chiranjeevi welcomed the acclaimed actress to the fold by posting a lively photo and a video straight from the sets, featuring the iconic trio. His message to mark the occasion was a heartfelt welcome to “The Gorgeous @trishtrashers”, accompanied by a snapshot that quickly spread across the social media landscape, sparking excitement among fans.

The welcome was equally warm and enthusiastically received on the other end, with Trisha responding on her own social media profile, expressing feelings of a heartfelt homecoming. In her posts, she gushed about the “magic and nature’s wonder” that take the center stage in the film, with a clear nod to the fantasy elements that ‘Vishwambhara’ promises to deliver. Looking back on her journey, Trisha highlighted the honor she felt in reuniting with the megastar after nearly two decades since their last collaboration in the 2006 hit ‘Stalin’.

‘Vishwambhara’ is not just a film that marks the return of a celebrated pairing but also brings together a constellation of award-winning talent. With the music and lyrics crafted by the Oscar-winning duo MM Keeravani and Chandrabose, the film pledges a feast for both eyes and ears. Its artistic vision materializes through the pen of scriptwriter Sai Madhav Burra, while the visual narrative is to be captured by cinematographer Chota K Naidu.

Further enriching the cinematic experience is an intricate tapestry of editing, undertaken by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao and Santosh Kamireddy, seamlessly piecing together the epic’s moments. AS Prakash, the production designer, sets the stage for a world that promises to be as immersive as it is fantastical.

Another interesting connection within the film’s crew is Sushmita Konidela, Chiranjeevi’s daughter, who not only stands at the helm of the project as one of its producers but also brings her sartorial expertise as the costume designer. Moreover, the film’s lyrics will carry the imprints of Siva Shakthi Datta, Keeravani’s father and the elder brother of screenwriter and the celebrated director SS Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, in a family collaboration that adds a deeper level of prestige to the project.

The film is being brought to life under the banner of UV Creations, courtesy of producers V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati, and Vikram Reddy. With a launch window set for January 2025 to coincide with the festive season of Sankranti, ‘Vishwambhara’ looks set to soar as a milestone in Indian cinema, offering audiences an enchanting ride into realms of grand storytelling.

Expanding the canvass of Telugu cinema, ‘Vishwambhara’ resonates with the vibrant culture of Indian storytelling that churns out tales of grandeur and extravagance, echoing through the halls of cinemas across the nation. The audience awaits with bated breath to witness the magic that ‘Vishwambhara’ aims to unleash as it leads them on a journey through fantastical adventures and poignant reunions that promise to captivate and enthrall.
