Mumbai: As the festival of Raksha Bandhan 2024 approaches, beloved television actors Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe, Ankit Raizada, and Aditi Tripathi have opened up about their heartwarming plans and cherished memories of the celebration. Each actor shared a unique perspective on how they intend to honor the special bond between siblings, offering an insight into their personal lives outside of the limelight.

Ankit Gupta, known for his role as Rannvijay in the popular show ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor’, revealed that work commitments might influence his Raksha Bandhan celebrations this year. “This year, I’ll be shooting on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. If I manage to get a day off or wrap up early, I’ll spend it with my brother,” he shared. Ankit’s close bond with his brother has grown over the years, and despite not having a sister, his Raksha Bandhan festivities remain deeply meaningful. He reminisced fondly, “Being the youngest, I have always been showered with love. One of my fondest memories of Raksha Bandhan is when my cousin sisters used to tie rakhis with watches on them. I adored those.”

Rutuja Bagwe, the talented actress who plays Vaiju in ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor,’ also spoke about her plans despite her busy shooting schedule. “I don’t have a brother, but my sister ties me rakhi every year. If she gets a day off from work, she will come to the sets to celebrate there,” Rutuja mentioned. “Every year, I celebrate the festival with my sister and cousins, preferring rakhis made of chandan. I always gift my sister something she desires. The happiness on her face is something I wait for and am elated with.”

Rutuja further elaborated on her special bond with her younger sister, stating, “Though she is the younger one, there are moments where she gives off an elder sibling vibe. As the elder sister, I look after her as a mother would. Our relationship is incredibly special and full of lifelong memories.

However, if I get a day off, I plan to celebrate it with my cousin sisters as I only have a brother,” he disclosed. This year, Ankit has something special planned. “I will surprise one of my cousin sisters with a jersey she has been wanting for a long time. She is a football player, and I know this gift will make her extremely happy. It’s these little joys that make such moments precious.”

Aditi Tripathi, who plays Deepika in ‘Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,’ shared her excitement for the festival, which holds a special place in her heart. “Raksha Bandhan is very special, especially for sisters, as they receive promises of protection from their brothers along with numerous gifts. I’m looking forward to being showered with gifts and promises,” she said with a smile.

She continued to reflect on the bond she shares with her brother, saying, “Like every year, I’ll be celebrating this festival with my brother. With each year, our bond has evolved. We’re like Tom and Jerry—constantly bickering, yet inseparable. Every day brings something new we learn from each other. I am grateful to have him in my life, and these are memories we will always cherish.”

As these actors gear up for Raksha Bandhan amidst their hectic shooting schedules, they each underscore the festival’s essence—the celebration of sibling bonds that grow stronger over time, laden with meaningful memories and heartfelt traditions. Their words resonate deeply with many, underscoring that even in the glamour of showbiz, family ties remain paramount.
