Oberoi stated, “I was running my house and my charitable foundation with the money I earned through my acting career. But when roles stopped coming, I knew I wouldn’t be able to continue all these activities.”

Philanthropy has always been close to the actor’s heart. Oberoi was involved in running a school in Vrindavan and aiding cancer patients. However, when financial strains started mounting, Oberoi took matters into his own hands.

. “I needed to be financially secure,” he shared, “and I never wanted to ask anyone for money, not even my father.” It was this determination that propelled him into the realm of business.

Vivek Oberoi demonstrated his keen business acumen by delving into various sectors. “I got into real estate and founded several companies,” Oberoi explained. His ventures spanned multiple fields, including technology—a sector in which some of his companies have seen significant growth. Today, Oberoi has investments in around 29 companies, marking his successful transition from actor to entrepreneur.

Reflecting on his career trajectory in a conversation on the Dubai-based podcast AB Talks, Oberoi said, “Success and failure are part of life, not just in Bollywood but in any field. My father always told me that your acting never fails; the attempt does not succeed.” He elaborated on the importance of resilience, stating, “The real failure as an actor comes when you stop moving forward. It’s crucial not to become complacent with your successes.”
