DG Khetan (Malad) demonstrated their dominance on the football field as they stormed into the boys U-16 third division final of the MSSA inter-school football tournament with an emphatic 2-0 victory over RN Podar (Santacruz). The match took place at the St Francis D’Assisi ground, Borivli, on Monday, showcasing DG Khetan’s formidable form and tactical prowess.

Right from the onset, DG Khetan set a fast pace, putting RN Podar under significant pressure. Their aggressive strategy paid off when deep defender Kumar Badugu, through a brilliant piece of individual play, managed to net the first goal of the game in the first half. Arnav Singh emerged as the hero for his team, scoring not just one but two pivotal goals that overturned the deficit and assured Thakur Public School’s victory.

Meanwhile, in another dramatic fixture, St Anthony High School pulled off a stunning upset as they defeated the much-fancied Don Bosco International (Matunga) 2-1. Daksh Koli and Manas Supugade found the back of the net for St Anthony’s, setting the stage for a memorable win. Despite Jahhaan Sanghavi’s effort to pull one back for Don Bosco International, it wasn’t enough to alter the outcome.
